Alana Hess is a children’s book author & illustrator, born and raised in Indianapolis.

You will find her moving about the room, encouraging students along their creative path while providing freedom for expression.

In her free time, she also teaches yoga, writes short inspirational essays, and loves to be creative in the kitchen with her husband. She was once voted "most likely to become a female rapper," and her rhymes shine through via her poetic & playful children's books.

As an art teacher for over 15 years, she has a strong passion for bringing *optimistic vision* to all ages.
