About the Artist

Dr. Jessica Myers is a versatile Oboe and English horn player, double reed educator, and teaching artist. She has thrived on a diverse range of experiences. She has recently had the pleasure of freelancing with the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra, Columbus Orchestra Indiana, Kokomo Symphony Orchestra, and the Kokomo Park Band. Jessica has devoted a great amount of time into her passion of education both to oboists and double reed players alike. Currently located in central Indiana, Dr. Myers is very proud of her beginning double reed and private students in the Fishers area.

As oboist and founding member of the KHAOS Wind Quintet, Jessica has shown her commitment to supporting new music, captivating transcriptions, and meaningful community engagement. KHAOS Wind Quintet has performed at the Frost Women's Conductors Symposium, Puerto Rico Flute Symposium, NACWPI digital 2020 & 2021 conference, the Henry Flagler Museum, and hosted private concerts in Miami.

Dr. Myers’ alma maters, in retrograde, are the University of Miami, Florida, Ball State University Mannes College of Music at The New School, and Butler University. Jessica’s prior private teachers include Robert Weiner, Dr. Lisa Kozenko, Sherry Sylar, Jennifer Christen, and Malcolm W. Smith.
