Through studying the inside of the accordion and understanding how it's made, students will begin to pose questions, make observations as to how a musical instrument is designed effects the sound it makes and how the sounds are made. Students will then develop a physical model of their own instrument to investigate how the shape of their design affects its music-making capabilities.
