Teaching Artist Review

Beverly Roche was absolutely brilliant in this wonderful Mime Workshop. She truly motivated and inspired my students to imagine and create Mime. They thoroughly enjoyed her talents, enthusiasm, and passion, which made the workshop so much Fun! -Denise Joseph, French Teacher at Roncalli High School

Program Description

This residency integrates theater with language arts and social studies standards. Before the residency, student groups research a figure who played a key role in the history they are studying. Students explore their historical figure dramatically and imaginatively. Then they write monologues, arguments, or letters in the voice of their key figures that explain their points of view on the events they influenced. Students work in collaborative groups to create mini performances from their writing.
