Teaching Artist Review

Beverly Roche was absolutely brilliant in this wonderful Mime Workshop. She truly motivated and inspired my students to imagine and create Mime. They thoroughly enjoyed her talents, enthusiasm, and passion, which made the workshop so much Fun! -Denise Joseph, French Teacher at Roncalli High School

Program Description

Students will analyze how a chapter, scene, or stanza contributes to the development of the theme, characterization, and plot through elements of theater. Students will gain an understanding of satire, sarcasm, and how the narrator or speaker impacts the mood and tone. By turning literature into a theatrical performance, students are challenged to analyze how all of these elements, when put together, create mystery, surprise, and the making of an effective story.
