Program Description

The performance traces the roots of Tap - known in the U.S. as "hoofing" in the mid- 19th and 20th centuries - to Ireland and Africa to the street and social dances of today. Audience members will have the chance to learn the seven basic steps of Tap during the performance. Tap Team Two pays homage to "hoofing" as a uniquely American art form.
