Join Master Storyteller Portia Jackson and Concert Harpist Melissa Gallant on a journey exploring African-American contributions to our cultural landscape. Jackson and Gallant will share stories and music from the Underground Railroad, through the Harlem Renaissance to a current Grammy Nominated Artist. This interactive, multi-disciplinary performance covers curricular areas including social studies, American History, English, Music and Storytelling.
