Program Description
This workshop is a process-oriented material exploration that will introduce students to basic concepts of weaving, knot tying, fiber art, assemblage and relief sculpture using reclaimed textiles and other found materials. Students will consider issues of human consumption and waste, how to qualify different materials, and how experiences and emotions can be conveyed through combinations of color and texture.
This program can be tailored as a 45-minute workshop or a longer-term residency.
