Program Description
Black Keys, takes audiences on a musical odyssey of the Black classical arts from the dawn of time through the present. Exceptional Black composers over three centuries are highlighted through the lens of music, dance, and narration. Black Keys has been presented by the Lotus World Music Festival, The Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts (Carmel, Indiana), and the University of Puget Sound.
Arts for Learning Indiana brings the arts to schools, libraries and other community organizations to champion creative learning, innovate education, and transform lives. We are at the forefront in helping to meet the need for social-emotional-learning (SEL) for today’s students. Joshua Thompson is one of the 50+ teaching artists Arts for Learning Indiana has available for hands-on art workshops, interactive art performances, in-depth art residencies, and art initiatives for schools, libraries and other community organizations. We serve about 40,000 students each year in the state of Indiana, ages 6 months-pre-school, elementary school, middle school and high school.
